One-two (1-2) months of dating one person qualifies for a holiday dating gift at holidays. If you have only been dating a few weeks, giving a gift may seem inappropriate to the gift receiver – Make sure you have this gift giving conversation with them before you go shopping and spend any money.

Intimacy, Humility, Sincerity, Thoughtfulness, Self-Confidence, Good Taste.

The Bad:

Needy, Too intimate, Too Expensive, Arrogance, Too Cheap, Insincerity, Not Thoughtful, Poor Judgment or Poor taste.

My husband once gave me a plastic dog filled with paperclips that he got from the clearance counter at an office supply store. I opened it to experience an immediate feeling of all the things listed in, "The Bad." Why did he do that – At Christmastime? He did it because I own a bookkeeping business and we have a doggie who we both dearly love and he thought it was cute and sweet and that I would like it. Yes, I still have it (and love it) for those exact reasons!

Giving a person you have only known a short time the gift of sexy lingerie – Completely gives the wrong message to a dating partner you see as having long-term potential. This is the kind of 'thoughtful' that may find you solo for the New Year!

Haste makes Waste – Take some time to pick out a gift. Learn about the person you are giving a gift to – Bring over a newspaper to their house and watch them when they go through it. That's how I pick out stocking stuffers for a hard to please husband, and at Christmastime he is always thrilled with those small, thoughtful gifts – that he picked out himself!
