Surveys prove the importance of wearing pretty, clean underwear.

According to USA Today in a reported survey, USA TODAY:  "Women own an average of 21 pairs of underwear, and many say an ill-fitting or ugly pair can ruin their day."  The USA Today survey research center conducted a telephone survey of 1,008 women 18 and older about their intimate apparel and clean underwear choices.

According to many men (and women), not only do they appreciate clean underwear that flatters their partner, but they are also more appreciative of a partner with nice, clean grooming habits.  While some preferred an area that was completely shaven, the majority expressed a preference for "Tidy, clean smelling and neat, versus an unkempt, un-fresh and 'Hazardous Looking,' area."  Tend to your garden with the appropriate personal products!

In addition to a sensual thong, there are three basic types of clean underwear men have to choose from:

• Briefs - 57% of men preferred briefs
• Roomy boxer shorts - 29% preferred roomy boxers
• Tight boxer shorts - 18% preferred tight boxer shorts

According to attraction level and appeal, briefs were rated as the least appealing type of clean underwear.    If briefs  are your preference then you would be well-advised to spend a few extra dollars on something  that isn't customarily white.  Several Name Brands have great affordable selections.

• 80% of Americans wear the same type of underwear for their entire adult lives.
• 24% of men have a 'lucky pair' of underwear.
• Married men change their underwear 2x as often as single men.
• In 1935, the first men's briefs appeared. They had a Y-shape in the front and an overlapping fly on knitted underwear.  They came in both a short and a long style.
• Argentinians wear pink, Italians wear red, and Brazilians wear brand new underwear on New Years Eve

According to the USA Today Survey:

• 27% say their mood is affected by wearing an poor-fit or ugly pair of underwear.
• 10% of women own 35 or more pair of clean underwear.
• 65% buy neutral colored underwear, with white being most popular, followed by black and beige colored clean underwear.
• Overall, 46% of women say briefs are the style they wear the most often. But women age 18-34 are more likely to wear the bikini style.
• 56% of women fold their panties; 27% just toss them in the drawer.
• 1 in 10 women admit that they will venture out of the house without underwear.
• Half of women have complaints about the way their underwear fit, with "wedgies" (30%) topping that list, followed by "doesn't lay flat under clothes" (19%) and "not enough coverage in the rear" (14%).

In another larger compatible survey, these clean underwear results ranked:

• 34% of women like matching bras and panties best.
• 1991, the average bra size in the United States was 34B; today it's 36C
